Anyone riding on 3G Sciroccos? I am thinking of getting a pair for training.

TIA

I bought a pair of these recently, and I'm pretty impressed. I trashed the Ambrosios that came with my Colnago, and didn't have the money to buy a really expensive set of wheels.

I settled on the Sciroccos because they're Campy, have good looks, and the price couldn't be beat. I got mine for $299 from a local shop.

Don't expect the lightest or stiffest wheel in the world, because the Scirocco is not it, but for the price, the G3 spoke lacing looks look great, and the performance is quite good in my opinion.

On the other hand, there's certainly heavier, uglier wheels that cost more also...

i have a pair, nice wheels, changed the QR leavers with perfomance Ti q-sticks in red( colour codeing my wheel sets) running mich. hi-light prestige tyres on these wheel.they are quite stiff durring spints to 35 mph. also the cool factor when you stop anywhere, lights, starbucks etc. people allways talk to you about them.also have a pair of campy neutrons and eurus wheel sets for my bianchi.no wheel bags , so ibought a set for the sciroccos, just to keep them nice.

I have a pair for over a year now and can't really complain about them. They are heavy but seem to be built well. I am 190-200lbs and ride the heck of them 3500 miles so far. Never had to do anything to them as of yet. I use them as my training/comuting wheels I also have a set of Eurus which I really like. For the money you can't beat the Sciroccos.

If you can find a good sale price they're a good set of budget wheels--roll pretty nice and they're strong and stable. Despite the trick looks these are not really aero wheels nor are they very light (even when you replace the skewers). I have a set on my commuter and they've held up well.
