Heading to Denver on Saturday, Need advice or ........Morgan

some one I could tag along with on a ride. Well I will be leaving for Denver Saturday morning. Arriving in Denver at 9:20AM and staying at Hyatt Regency at Welton Street. I was planning to bring my Mountain bike, but am now leaning torward taking my road bike, figuring it would be easier to leave right from the Hotel on the road bike. This being the case where should I head to for a good ride? Is there any ride groups that meet on Sunday for a ride and where? What about the week? Is there any specific evening when group rides take place? Of course I am always willing to buy a tour guide, after ride beer(s) or dinner.
What about a good bike shop in the area? My level is Cat 4 racer Sport Mountain bike racer. And I dont mind climbing at all.

Thanks,
Morgan

Bring the road bike. If you get a hankering to do a mtbike ride it's easier to rent a mtb than a road bike. Do you want to ride or race? Here are some links that might help... If you want to race than you should come out to Mile High stadium on Wednesday for Wednesday Night Worlds. It's good fun. There are way to many good rides to list, from your hotel you can head out on 32nd ave all the way out to Golden and do Lookout Mountain or head down to Chatfield and then head up Deer Creek Canyon and High Grade.

You could also call Turin Bike shop, they are the sponor for the Rocky MOuntain Cycling Club, they probably have a ride going on Sat or Sun. I'm racing this weekend in Golden and Highlands Ranch otherwise I'd be happy to take you around.

Another great organization to try is Rocky Mountain Cycling Club. They have several rides a week, with some great ones on Saturdays and Sundays. Their website is www.rmccrides.com. They have a full ride schedule for the next several months, and they're very good about letting nonmembers or visitors ride with them.
