Skweeking noise - can't localize it!anzoni

My ride got caught in a heavy downpour (6-8 miles) and now has this annoying noise. It's apparent even when I don't move the crank (pedals). Bike: Pinarello Marvel with Dura-Ace and Ksyrium SL 03'.
I've heard some bad rumoirs about the BB, but 6-8 miles since it was new is perhaps somewhat soon?
Could it be the wheels? They were full of water after the ride. Frame was not, thanks to it's draining hole.
I'm heading for a super long ride with 3000 other people this weekend, so your inputs are greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!!

If you hear anything lube the nipples. Dealt with this recently after getting caught in the rain.

Funny, I have a Pinarello Prince with Kysriums for about one year and I've had 3 distinct squeeking noises.

1. Bottom Bracket needed to be replaced at about 6mths. Squeek more noticaeable with hard pedaling and almost silent with no pressure.

2. After rain (like you) similiar sounding squeek but it turned out to be dirt in the crank/bracket I tried to clean but still couldn't get it out. LBS clean out in 10 minutes (hope you have dirt/sediment squee) It sounded just like bottom bracket squeek.

3. this week wheel squeek -cracked ksyrium in the milledout portion eminating from spoke along direction of travelling wheel. Check your rims top and bottom for any cracks. I've cracked 2 rims and I never think to look at the rim-I always think its a spoke but this time all the Kysrium spoke were taut. Since you mentioned rain I would suspect you have a troublesome speck of dirt at or around the bottom bracket. Good Luck

Thanks for help everybody!
King, how come you have had som much trouble with the wheels? I thought they were supposed to be real stable?
I'm gonna try to oil the nipples and remove dirt from the outside of the crank in first place. I'm still not sure if it's the BB as it makes noise when not turning, but I'm no expert.

I think i've just had a spate of bad luck. don't get me wrong I like the wheels and they've ridden well. All of a sudden they cracked. The other wheels were older Mavic 280 racing tubes. I've alsoheard rumors the Pinarellos go through BB's. Hope not for our sake.
Regards.
