2 broken spokes in 2 Sundays??????????african

Ok last Sunday I break a spoke and limp home. This Sunday I break a spoke and crawl home with a wobling back wheel. Whats up? I have mavic open sup pro, why the breaks, something must be wrong. Any help?

Once one breaks the others weaken (not in all cases though). You may have to go for a full wheel rebuild with new spokes. Use it and if a third one breaks replace all.

Usually, at least. As someone else stated, it's also possible that when the first spoke broke, it overloaded some others. If you have proper tension in the wheel, and there was no trauma causing the spoke breakage, then it may well be time for a rebuild. Try increasing overall tension (you've got nothing too lose) unless it is already quite high. Which spokes broke (left, right).

I did about 100 plus miles in between breaks. The wheel had the spoke replaced and was trued. So who knows, I think I should dump the wheels on e bay and buy something new (they are my friends old wheels).
