|In bicycle jersey speak, what does "sublimated" mean? I see this description on many websites/catalogs with jerseys for sale. Thx|

|It means that the inks are impregnated into the fibers of the material, thus not "covering" up the fibers. This is in contrast to silk screening like Tee shirts are done, where the ink is basically painted onto the top of the fibers, thus covering them over. The result is that with sublimated, the jersey fibers still wick and breath, where silk screened areas don't.
At least that's the story somebody told me when I asked, but I don't actually remember ever seeing jerseys that are silk screened!
