I know you live in the area and let me explain what I am trying to do. I want to plan a one way ride for my bike club and come from Maryland to Roots Auction on a Tuesday.
I figured we would cross the Normanwood bridge and use the Nightmare route up to near Marietta. Is there any way you could give me the rest of the route up to Auction Rd. (Roots Auction ) on a scenic, fairly direct route.

|Well unfortunatly directions arent my thing, i mainly ride around the Elizabethtown area and upper manheim area on small back roads the names of which im not certain on either. haha but i find my way around. The Nightmare ride is a good root to ride on, it wraps all around where i live and is marked well with orange blazes, although many of the roads it takes are pretty rough. Once you get to Marietta i would either head towards Mount Joy or East Petersberg. I am guessing that Heading towards East Petersburg would be less hilly than the Mount Joy route, auction road and the surrounding area is extememly flat. Get your hands on a detailed map of the area, there are tons of small wrapping backroads. You should be able to map out a pretty direct root if you stick to some of the more major ones. Definatly head up on a tues. b/c that is when Roots is up and running. Make sure you get some good food from inside. Good luck, sorry i could't be of more help.|
|Thanks I will try to map it out nm||bigrider|
