Good thing I'm not in Atl. If you're anywhere near the quality of person and beauty as rt, I'd be in a full body cast or nearly dead from the number and severity of crashes I'd be involved in by riding with you two.

I do the Tuesday BikeSouth and Thursday Buckhead rides as much as I can. But speed/distance skating on the streets and at bike centuries (that will let us) is my main activity.
Got one ATL local here........You guys doing the Thursday ride?Screaming Barfy

Cycleworks is sponsoring the ride tonight from St. Peters (across from Fellini's in Buckhead), and we'll be there giving away some free schwag and goodies before the ride.

If you're not familiar with the ride, it's a 26mi out/back loop through Buckhead to Vinings and back. Typically in excess of 50+ riders, all abilities welcome. Avg speeds range from 16-21mph.

Hope to see you all there tonight!! (keep your fingers crossed for no rain)
rest day for me today..._rt_

I do the Mareitta Crit Tuesdays, Peachtree Battle on Wednesday, and Buckhead Bellyache on Thursdays. I have a test tomorrow so we'll see if I can make it out there in time but I usually have good attendance in those rides. I'm the guy on the blacked out Felt.

I went to high school in Atlanta and have lived in various places around GA -- Athens, Clayton, Savannah, Valdosta. Still get "home" to Clayton a couple times a year and squeeze in some rides in the mountains, although I never thought Atlanta was a particularly good place for cycling (too much traffic). Cycling around Athens used to be great. Go Dawgs!

I'm gonna try to make it for the RBR ride in the NGa mountains in July. I'm not much of a climber, but love the mountains and riding there. In college, I once rode solo from Athens to Lake Burton, one of my all-time epic rides.

I do an early Sunday ride out to the Dacula area. It's a great area for early Sunday. Not much traffic and only a few dogs.I try to get to Stone Mountain 2-3 times a week in the evening. If you are there look for slow rider on a charcoal/black Waterford.
