Well, I started riding my bike last week and in the last seven days I put over 170 miles on it! My long rides are up to 3 hours now and my leg feels a hell of'alot better then it looks. So, last night I went out and met up with our Tues ninght hammer ride. I left early and on my way back the pros caught me going up the one big climb. I snuck on to the back and held on for about 4 miles with some ease...my heart rate was 184 and my max is 201. Thats what happens when you dont do $hit for 2 months :D
So, I was thinking since your missing California and havn a hard time with NC, you could come out to Asheville and I would show ya a HELL OF A TIME ! I have an iternary set up and some good people to ride with. I have to go to Vermont next week for 2 weeks and I will be back on the 28th. So how about the first week of July right before the TDF starts. That way you can come out and I will take you on some kick a$$ rides and we can trash talk all the people we think are crazy on RBR LOL ...just kidn. Bring your HED wheels and a bike. Dont worry about cliff bars and or anything else cause I've got a ton of it :) I'll show you around Asheville and we can even ride up to Mitchell from my house....its only 36 miles up and 36 miles Down all the way back. That would be fun...or we can just hit some fun easy rides and go out with Asheville bike racing club. At night we can throw back some laugers at the local Irish smoke free nocturnal hang out. Let me know how July looks for weekends and or during the week....talk to you soon
