CLIPLESS PEDALS: SWITCHING FROM STS TO LOOKLarge Cyclist

A good friend of mine has made the switch from STS over to Look pedals, and seems to be having a bit of a challege with it. In particular, she seems to struggle every time she wants to click out of the pedal(s); clicking in, on the other hand, appears to be effortless.

I know with STS, you have to sort of pull up and bit and twist your foot outwards, simultaneously. Is the movement any different for Look pedals? Also, are there any other differences she should be aware of with these new pedals?

Thanks! :)

I just twist out.

The release tension can be adjusted. Dial it all the way down. Also, spray some dry lube on the pedals and cleats. If they get all mucked up from walking in dirt, that can affect them, too.

Oh, also ensure the cleat bolts are tight. If they are loose enough to allow the cleat to twist on the shoe, it will be harder to unclip.
