|Anybody doing Seattle-Portland? I can't figure out...||rwbadley|

|how I'm going to arrange transport. I'm in Reno, and will drive to Seattle for the ride. I'd like to check out Portland too. The ride is Saturday. I need to be in Eugene Sunday morning, and don't really want to go back to Seattle then back down to Portland. (the Seattle-Portland drive & back is 7 hrs)
Does anybody need a ride or give a ride Seattle-Portland or vice versa? Anybody have a spare driver?
I had someone lined up to drive my vehicle down to Portland on Saturday, but that fell through.
I'm open to all ideas. What do you think?

|Do you need to have your car in Eugene on Sunday? Because if you don't need your car there, I'd suggest just Amtraking it from Portland to Eugene, then back up to Seattle to get your car. Some of the Amtrak times between Portland and Eugene use buses, but you can still take your bike on them.

You could leave the car in PDX and buy a bus/bike ticket from PDX to SEA from the folks at STP.

|If you check out the Cascade.org website there should be a reference to the Portland Wheelmen. The Portland club has in the past done a bus charter to Seattle the day/evening before STP, and trucks Portlander's bikes up to Seattle as well as best I can recall. Try to hook up with them. There is an STP bulletin board at the Cascade web site where you should be able to make contact with someone.|
|Thanks, I'll give it a shot...nm||rwbadley|
