| 1st ILLUSTRATED ride report. | KG 361 Jun 8, 2003 5:57 PM | | went out for 35 miles this morning taking my new Nikon Cool Pix 4300 along. Here are a few shots of the ride. This is Limekiln road, my favorite passage to many routes. |
| Down we go! | KG 361 Jun 8, 2003 5:59 PM | | Down Mt Airy drive. Had to tuck the camerea away; a nice little s turn awaits! |
| There really is a dam here. | KG 361 Jun 8, 2003 6:03 PM | | The creek is really high now. Usually there is a bout a 6ft drop at this dam. Almost nothing now. |
| Ski area over there. | KG 361 Jun 8, 2003 6:06 PM | | Ski roundtop in the didtance. Not very big, but close.Nice climb coming the other way. |
| Starting down across the ski area. | KG 361 Jun 8, 2003 6:10 PM | | Great singletrack here, I'm told. (Haven't checked it out, yet.) |
| Another great reason to live in this area. | KG 361 Jun 8, 2003 6:13 PM | | Horses! What makes this area good for cycling, also makes it good for horseback riding. Lots of horse farms and stables around here.No more pics! Out of memory. |
| Very pretty and green. It looks like it has been really wet... | rwbadley Jun 8, 2003 6:27 PM | | in your area. Where are you? I like to see that water flowing at the dam. Looks like alot of trees are under six feet of water.
Horses are overated in my book. They're like really really expensive dogs, or cheap kids (I guess) either way, they can be a pain in the heiney. ;-)) |
| Very wet! | KG 361 Jun 8, 2003 6:36 PM | | Just outside of Harrisburg, PA. it's been raining here since, well, I can't remember. Forever, I think! Almost forgot one of my favorite roads, McCormack drive. This road will make you feel like a pro! (Nice'n flat-one of the few around here.) Notice the creek, again. |
| i live in this area.. it was a great ski year at roundtop.. | benja15 Jun 8, 2003 6:51 PM | | i wish it would be a great bike year too, all this rain was snow in the winter, oh well i guess it is a tradeoff |
| i live in this area.. it was a great ski year at roundtop.. | KG 361 Jun 8, 2003 6:57 PM | | Yep it was, wasn't it? Any chance we'll see you at the RBR ride on June 29th? Where are you at? |
| Outside Lancaster in the Manheim area, if you are familiar | benja15 Jun 9, 2003 6:17 PM | | I would like to make it to the RBR ride i will have to see how my summer works out now that i will be fresh out of school ( high school ) i am definatly planning to get some miles in this summer |
| Sure. | KG 361 Jun 9, 2003 6:30 PM | | I used to live in Middletown and I would ride down in that area. We'd be happy to have you come on the RBR ride, if you don't mind riding with a bunch of "old guys". =) |
| Nice looking roads you have there | Tower Jun 9, 2003 3:57 AM | | They look really smooth.......or is that just an illusion? |
| Some are great. | KG 361 Jun 9, 2003 10:06 AM | | Others really s&*k. Depends if they are bringing the sewer/water out to those areas. If they are, after the digging, you've got nice, smooth, blacktop! |
| Nice report... | JL Jun 9, 2003 6:29 AM | | I guess the June 29 ride will head out Limekiln road? Unless some unforseen circumstances crop up, looks like I'll be out to Harrisburg.
Nice report with the new camera. Looks like you need a bigger memory card and/or use a smaller resolution to fit more pix.
Happy riding.

| Nice report... | KG 361 Jun 9, 2003 10:08 AM | | Combination of the 2. Small memory card and I will choose a lower res on the next series. It does make for nice photos, though. Glad to hear you'll be able to make it on June 29. |
| Man, we have been on all those roads. Good riding! nm. | MB1 Jun 9, 2003 7:24 AM | | |
