If so what are your experiences with rates or claims. Any bicycle insurance advice is appreciated.

You're probably covered already. You can expand that coverage with a "full replacement rider" that might not cost too much, depending on your "neighborhood" and its rating by the insurance company. Otherwise, you get a depreciated value for anything lost, and that can mean not much $$ for something only a few years old. We have our bikes and grand piano covered this way, and it's much cheaper than separate policies. YMMV.
