Legs feel stiff in the morning(16 posts)

Legs feel stiff in the morningFender
Jun 6, 2003 7:52 AM
Regardless if I rode the day before or not, my legs have been feeling stiff when I wake up, especially my thighs. Usually this goes away as the day goes by, but it's starting to concern me.

Should I be stretching when I wake up? Massage before I go to bed?

Getting close to 40 myself and now a good night's sleep often sounds better alternative than sex--not always mind you, but more than when I was in my 20s and could party all night long. Everything is still working fine. I just don't think with that "head" as much as I used to.

you are unbalanced. Your legs are strong, but your upper body and core is not as developed. I think that this is happening to me. I stretch alot (especially before bed) and it helps.

You know you are getting old when you have a sleep related injury.

Simple solution - drink more water !!!!!!!!!
when you think you've had enough, drink more. It works. Personal experience.
Go see a doctor if this persists...Eug

It could be exercise related even if you haven't exercised in a couple of days. But if you are getting this persistently, even if you haven't exercised in a while, then consider seeing a doctor if this persists. There are certain disorders that can manifest themselves with morning stiffness.
