I just ordered a new Litespeed Tuscany to celebrate my forty years on this planet. It comes in next week.

Yippee!

So all you Litespeed owners out there, tell me, what to expect?

Welllll you're going to be a little stiffer and you may injure more easily than before. At 47 the party isn't over .... its just a different party. Have a great 40th and keep in mind - getting old may suck, but the alternative is even worse.

Now I turn 50 in 2 1/2 years ..... I'm thinking --- a big ass chopper with flames. yeah
Happy birthday old guyPaulCL

I can say that since I just turned 41.

If your wife objects to the big cash outlay, tell her you could instead go through a "midlife crisis" and buy a red sportscar equipped with a hot blonde. So ask her...blonde or Litespeed????

Congrats! I turned the four-oh last year and it hasn't been too bad.

Post a ride report after a while. My wife has been hinting that a Tuscany MAY be in my future as a retirement present when I retire from the AF in the next year or so.

I turned 40 about four years ago and it didn't bother me at all. Thought I'd dodged a major bullet. Had a great couple of years convinced that age was all in the mind. All I have to say is look out for 43 or 44 - somewhere in there I came to realize that despite mybest efforts, THINGS HAVE CHANGED. I'm not sure how or when it happened, but I'm a lot older now than I was at 38 or 39. Age isn't all in your head - it's also in your body. Getting older still beats the pants off of the alternative, but don't get too smug. It'll happen to you to - maybe not this year, maybe not even next year, but sometime in the next few years some strange old guy is going to be looking back at you out of the mirror.

Happy Birthday :)

The guy looking back at me out of the mirror has always been a bit strange...and at 51, he's starting to seem old, too.
I would rather not turn 40 and pass on the bike...Fez

But unfortunately, I can't stop time. Congrats and enjoy the bike.

You can expect lots of happy miles and a silly grin on your face for the first few rides.
