Anybody else experience this problem, or do I just have my angle set incorrectly?

check your seat angle. Then again, it just might be the way you're built. I REALLY like this saddle--put one on my new ride and have logged 900 miles and change so far without a single problem. The longest ride I've done up to now has been a double metric century, but again, totally comfy the entire way.

I am using the non-genuine gel version of the Prolink and
had trouble with numbness only once - the allen bolt holding
the seat where I wanted had loosened and I had to reposition
and re-tighten, then all was well.

It might be you. I have ridden Sella Italia seats for years (Flite and SLR) but I cannot ride on a prolink for more than a couple of feet. Seats are very personal. You might have to get another seat.

it may also be your positioning on your bike. Can't really diagnose it over the web but I used to get numbness after about 10-15 mins but after i got a "check-up" fit it went away. It may also help to stand up every few minutes or so, or ride on the hoods more, imho.
I do too.....DY

I had the Prolink Transam and loved it. When I sold my bike the saddle went with it. I bought the new Prolink Gel to try it. If you look at the saddle from the side (mine anyway) the area with the gel sits up pretty high from the rest of the saddle. To my thinking all the gel does is just make that area push up even more. It's a nice saddle...but not built for me. I'll probably be putting it up for sale on the classifieds.
