'91 Kestrel (carbon frame) 200 SC, full Dura Ace ('91 era), Mavic (don't know model) rims

the bike is in decent shape--the guy only put about $1500 miles on it. he says he paid about $3000 for it back in the day, and he's trying to sell it now. any help, as i have no idea.

See advice in thread just below this. That is, check eBay auctions for similarly equipped bikes. If you find some, put them on your watch list and see what they end up selling for. A bike that old would probably sell for well less than $1000. If it doesn't have STI shifters, might sell closer to $500 if in good shape. Kestrel frames don't seem to be as desirable or common as Trek carbons, although they seem to be popular among triathletes.
