Just wondering if anyone else keeps spare supplies in their car just incase you come upon a stranded cyclist. I think I may over do it a bit here is a list of what I have in my vehicle in case of a cyclist Road or Mtb in need of mechanical.

(4) 700c presta tubes
(2) 700x23 folding tires
(4) Deraail cables
(4) Brake cables
(1) 9 speed chain
(1) SIS and Brake cable housing.
(10) 302 14 guage spokes and my extra hozan spoke threader
(1) Pair cable stops
(1ea) frt , rear skewer
(1) saddle
(1Pr) time pedals and cleats
assortment of my xtra tools to complete most repairs. floor pump and bunch of Co2 cartrideges.

(4) MTB tubes
(2) Folding MTB tires
(4) Mtb end brake cables

I think I may be over doing it but I just hate to see any stranded cyclist standing by the roadside or walking not on top the saddle riding.
Be interesting to see what everybody else has in there vehicles for the in need of help cyclist.

Wow!! Looks like an overkill to me. It's safe to assume that your car is not a Geo metro.

I don't have that much stuff in the basement. Now that I think of it, I bet my wife would love it if I took what I do have out of the basement and stored it all in my car. I look forward to breaking down in Mooresville, NC!
I'll feign a breakdown to get my bike rebuilt! NMContinental

Sorry to poke fun at your roving bike shop. The world would be a much better place if there more thoughtful people like you.

I don't at this point but I think I will start. Great idea! I get the chance to ride in Mooresville/RTP area a couple times a year and love it. I wish I lived in that area.

I would think tubes and a pump would be more than adequate for 99% of those stranded (maybe a tubular tire?); a few tools would be nice.
