491 miles for me. This included three great organized rides in and around Austin, TX: the Armadillo Hill Country Classic (I did the metric century), the Shiner B.A.S.H. (85 miles and beer), and the Tour d'Temple (metric century).
85 miles + beer!?My kind of ride! nm =)KG 361

just finished my "Will wrench for food signs". now just need to find a good place to stand at to hold the signs up dont think interstate exits will work, but hey I'm not a bit sorry I gave up my job, I really dont have a penney but, nothing like being able to set out on a 5, 6, 7 hour ride during the weekdays and having the weekends free for racing. The way I look at it sure not hurting anybody but myself since I'm by myself no wife or kids. So Monday have a nice 75 mile loop planned I better enjoy it while I can.

I am in the same boat. Unfortunately, there is only so much one can ramp up without entering the overtraining zone. I had to cut down this month and add more higher intensity miles. This job market blows...

Are you doing the Dreamride on June 14th? I thought that you mentioned it. I probably will be doing it.(Along with Joe-yes, the real Joe, not some guy I met at the start and dropped on the ride =) )
Hey JL.JL
Jun 1, 2003 6:23 PM
Can't make the Dream Ride and I'm not sure I have the legs for 100, or at least to keep up with you for 100 ;) I'll be doing the Freedom Valley Ride that day. Only 72 miles with a few less hills then Turkey Hill.

Have fun riding with the real Joe :)

John
Have fun!KG 361

The Dream Ride is considerably less hilly than the Ride around the river-I used to ride on a lot of those roads (in the Dream Ride). You would do a better job than Joe in keeping up-Joe climbs like a really heavey stone!

OK, I'm a Mtn. Biker, and haven't been able to go because of the rain. It's because of this that I started looking for a road bike. Not riding is driving me insane!
