Anybody w/front fender experience on a Cdale Headshock fork?(3 posts)

Anybody w/front fender experience on a Cdale Headshock fork?jtferraro

I had ordered SKS fenders for my C'dale mtb/commuter bike. The rear X3 "Xtra dry" fender, which clamps to the seatpost, works/fits great. However, the front "Shockboard" fender isn't compatible. I guess it would fit most suspension forks (i.e. the third party manufacturer's) but not the Headshock.

This is it:

Anyway, the reason it doesn't work is b/c the hole in the middle of the fork, on the bottom (between the blades), isn't deep enough. Basically, the steerer tube comes down to far...if you know what I mean? If anybody knows of a compatible "clip-on" style fender, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

I think I might x-post this on mtbr.com

I just use a downtube fender on my MTB works really well even during muddy races. Probably not as good as the steerer tube types.
good luck,

Get a cheap one piece plastic fender and don't use the piece of metal that attaches to the brake stay and then use zip ties to attach it underneath the headshock.
