Today while riding I broke a spoke at the rear hub. Entire rim bend .I'm 225 lbs. is that to much weight on the rim cause that?

... there are lots of variables (miles on wheel, conditions you were riding through, riding style, type of wheel, spokes, number of spokes... etc) that contribute to spoke breakage... and without a few more details, I couldn't say definitively that your weight was a factor (most male cyclists are a bit girthier than the average pro or competitive amatuer... and ride for years on "standard" 32 hole rims with butted spokes without a failure).

It's not unusual to replace a single spoke to bring a wheel back in to true (depending on how dinged it was)... in some instances, you might consider having the entire wheel relaced... or at least have the spoke tension checked.

Be the bike.
welcome to the 'benefits' of light-weight wheels. nm.Steve_0
