Where to get a Met Stradivarius in the US?Bonked

I would like to get a Met Stradivarious but can't find a vendor that will ship them to the US. I believe that someone on this forum suggested http://www.bikepark.co.uk/, but they don't seem to carry them anymore. Does anyone know of another vendor that will ship to the US? (Or are there any European based people that could ship one over?)

Thanks!

Bikepark.co.uk was the only company I know of. I sent an email to MET asking them why they don't sell here. They said it was because of potential lawsuits.

... sorry to see that BikePark no longer lists them on their website (still might be worth an email or call to confirm)... I've been able to snag four METS (3 Strads and a 5 Element) from them in the past.

Dunno what their shipping policy is to the US with respect to METs ('tis true, it's a small family business that has no interest in legal battles on this side of the pond... pity, but I understand their position) but you might try Deeside

http://www.deesidecycles.com/helmets.htm

Outside of a vendor willing to violate MET's official policy (they inform their authorized vendors that if caught selling to the US or Canada (and Australia I think), that they will no longer be authorized to sell) you might be able to get an individual in the UK or the Contenient to "sell" you one... or just fly over for yourself.

Be the bike.

Bonked - I am in the UK and use a Strad - great lid IMHO.

I am off on holiday for a week today, but if you have no joy then drop me an e-mail at gileyd (at) hotmail.com (address changed to foil spammers) and if you want I can buy one and send it to you. Cheapest I have seen them for is £60.00.

Obviously this would involve you trusting a complete stranger with your money. Your call - I completely understand if you don't want to.
