Hello everyone.

I'm a regular reader of this forum and until now I have not had anything to post.

I am a marketing major and I also have an interest in film/video. This summer I wanted to do my first real film project, and right now I'm trying to get it all planned out. In the end I'm going to be using about $1000 of my own money, so I thought rather than doing some little thing for myself why not try to make this useful to many.

My first thought was a cycling PSA. I did some research and it is possible to get a public service announcement broadcast with the support of a national non-profit organization. Actually thats just the first step and having a national non-profit org allows it to possibly be broadcast nationwide.

I wanted to do something about Share the Road, but I could not find a national organization that dealt with that issue. Does anyone know of a national organization that deals with some aspect of cyclist advocacy?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I want to make something that can help others out, but still keep it personal.

Thanks again for all the cycling advice.

Matt

Matt, the first groups I would try looking up are the League of American Wheelmen, the USCF, and US Cycling. At least one of those groups should be able to point you in the right direction. Also from the motorist perspective you may want to check the DOT site for your state. It may have some info. I did a seach for "share the road" on Google and got a bunch of interesting hits... a bunch of advocacy sites... I didn't take the time to read the sites, but you will probably want to.

Hope that helps...
