|my muscles aren't really sore, but i can "feel" them as they're a little tight. mostly my legs (both hams and quads, glutes, calves) but also the muscles in my back are stiff. what muscles should be feeling it if i'm riding correctly? yep, i'm a newbie.|

|might help. If you've just started riding, the "obvious" muscles will be sore/tired. It took a couple of weeks of regular riding for my back to get over it's initial stiffness. Bent over forward for a long period of time is probably not a position you're used to. It will help to do some stretching that involves your back and ab muscles post-ride. Also, changing your hand positions on the handlebars regularly might help some to.
