I vote for any advice containing these lines:

"you can MAKE it work by..."
"you don't need a torque wrench."
"glue it."

I suspect a lot of people really are Libertarian deep down, but the media has surpressed coverage of what the Libertarian philosophy is so that people think it's the loony anarchy party and there are only two "real" parties anyways even though they both look almost the same to me :-)

Any advice that is intended to apply to everyone is bad. There are so many different types of riders, terrain, weather, and riding that almost no advice would work for everyone. We tend to be a little egocentric when doling out advice, and forget that people have vastly different circumstances.
