Noise when applying pressure(4 posts)

Noise when applying pressureIngeman

Hi,

Anyone experience a clicking / squeaking noise from crank/rear deraillure when standing out of the saddle. When riding, the noise sounds like it is coming from the rear deraillure area, although as it only occurs when applying extra pressure on the pedals when standing, I would assume it comes from the crank??
I ride ultegra components.

Any thoughts, comments, possible solutions?
thank you
Craig
Frame flex driving the derailleur into the wheel?pitt83

Under heavy load on the chain stays, you could push the derailleur into the wheel if it's already too close.

Cause may be dry bottom bracket, loose chain ring bolts, poor derailleur adjustment, pedals/cleats, quick release skewer, spokes, and probably other stuff that I can't recall at the moment. A less safety conscious guy would suggest ear plugs.
