|There are a set of pedals I would like to but but I'm not sure how to go about it. What is the normal way of exchanging money/merchandise?|

|email or call the guy and set a price. try to get a feel for the person. if you are not comfortable, back out. if you decide it's ok, you send him a check or do paypal and he'll send you the item. my experience was a good one.|

|I have purchased one bike from a Roadbike Review classified and two bikes off of Ebay. In each case, through email and phone calls, I came to a point of trusting the seller before commiting to the purchase. Some would say it is foolish, but I made payment and trusted the seller to send me the bike. In all three cases, the bikes arrived as promised and the sellers were more than fair in addressing post-sale issues.
Is it absolutely safe? No, it isn't. But it has worked great for me and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

|I bought the frame I'm presently riding and about half the components from these classifieds two years ago. We exchanged emails about the condition of the equipment, and I just sent each seller a personal check. One guy sent me a chainring even before he received my check. It all worked well for me, and I'm riding a nice bike for about half the cost of new.|| |
