|Here is a pic of my new ride beside my old one... take a guess which is which!
I really love it, and I got a really good deal. I had a wireless Flightdeck put on too. One issue i did not fore see... with the Cateye Astrale on my old bike, all the functions still worked when using the stationary trainer. With the flightdeck, I don't even have cadence which is a pain. Anyway to avoid this? can the sensor be mounted on the rear?

Actually both look pretty nice. However, with the FlightDeck, I think you're stuck. I don't think it's possible to make it work with the rear wheel. The max transmit range is about 50cm according to the manual, which is only about 1.5 feet. Unless your transmitter happens to be super sensitive and you can figure out a way to point the two parts towards each other, I'm afraid you're out of luck. Maybe if you had those rollers that spin your front wheel as well.... :^(

|... wotz da yellow bike anyway?
Wonder if some electronics entrepeneur would ever be interested in slapping together some kind of repeater/relay to increase the range of the Flight Deck for such an application (wonder if it would be FCC legal)?
Be the bike.
