fondriest vs. trek fit revisited -- paging C-40/fit expertsreklar

So, I went to the bike shop today and rode a 58cm trek 2200, which fits perfectly. I'm thinking about ordering a fondriest MDC...Would the 57cm (large) be the right size frame? Any help is greatly appreciated!
large would be the size...C-40

Look at the geometry charts. Both are on the web sites.

Horizontally, the large Fondriest has a .6cm shorter TT. You may or may not need a 1cm longer stem (very few stems are made in 5mm increments these days).

The other consideration is the head tube length. Fondriest lists their head tube length without the headset (161mm) and with the headset (191mm). Trek fails to list this important dimension on their charts. Measure and compare to figure out how the bar height will compare.

When I got my MDC, I knew that the head tube was 1cm shorter than my C-40. Had to use a 1cm spacer to get an identical bar height.
btw, how are you liking your MDC??reklar

Thanks, I looked at the charts, but thought I'd check with you just to be sure.

How are you liking your MDC--your impressions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again!

Just starting to put it together. Waiting on the FSA Carbon triple crank and Ti BB. Have the rest of the Record triple group in hand.

Home repair has got me slowed down. Got to finish some repairs before the move to Denver.
