Newbie Questions about a Fuji AbsoluteHannibal

I just purcahsed a home and was cleaning out the tool shed from old owner and came across a Fuji absolute in good condition (wheels and chain are rusted, body needs some touch up paint thats about it) is this a good beginners road bike and is it worth putting a little time and money into. I do believe it would make a nice summer project being I have a bike shop not to far from my home that could repaint it and help with upgrades or replacement of old parts. any suggestions?

here is a good place to look:

ebay also helpful, but doesn't show anything on your fuji.

hard to say more without a description of the parts on that bike. i suspect a paint job and rebuild would cost more than an entry- to mid-level bike, in good condition, bought used.

you would probably make the bike shop owner pretty happy.

good luck.

...with related words as the search keys. you'll find innumerable similar threads, as recent as last week and probably early thsi week.

if you still have questions, re-post your query with specifics--riding style, body size, build, dimensions, goals, budget, etc.
