i heard a rumor that they went out of biz after 9/11 but i just called them and sure enough they are up and running and claim they never went out of biz. a friend used to work there (was laid off after 9/11) and has told me that they used to make great wheels and were doing very well 4-8 years ago. he also said that in the recent past they aggressively pursued the design and manufacturing of a incredible light wheels... so much so that they sacrificed the quality of their product. he claimed that the wheels were super light but they'd only last you a week. all hearsay, but just what i've heard...

i assume you'll get favorable comments from folks that used to own these wheels a while ago... before buying i'd try to hear from someone that has bought in the recent past...

Just received my Nimble Spiders three weeks ago. So far, so good. Very light (built to my specs they're 1400 grams), and priced right, too. They seem tough enough in my limited experience. I've done crits where they stood up to the high speed turns nicely, as well as metric centuries on BAD roads with no problems. Several of my teammates have Nimbles, too, and think they're great. We'll see what I'm saying a year from now...
