Aireon Trainer Scratches my rear deraillernicholasdunford

I brought an Aireon trainer home and set my new lemond up. It seemed that the space between the included skewer and rear derailler was a little tight, but I rotated the hub mounting bolts as best I could to eliminate this problem. I rode for awhile and and then removed my bike and noticed that the bolt had scratched into my rear derailler right were it attaches to the hanger. I looked over the machine and there does not seem to be any other way to mount the bike. Obviously I am pretty pissed about this, the only positive is that it didn't seem to bend by hanger any. Has anyone else had any issues like this, or is just fate kicking me in the ass for selling out and buying crappy Supergo products?

Second question:
Is Supergo like Discount Tire where they will let me throw this piece through the front window?
