|Who here likes Bob Roll's Giro commercials?||Sintesi|

|I think they are hysterical. Especially when he plays the old guy laying on some road in the Italian countryside pointing to the exact spot some Italian great (I can't remember) launched his historic attack. That's funny.
I think Bob has finally found his true post-pro-cyclist niche. He's a comedic actor. He should play Tony Soprano's long lost brother. He needs a Kramer role in a good sitcom.

|I think he is a hoot. I usually mute the ads, (even L.A.'s), but Bob Roll makes me laugh.
Anything beats those Lincoln Navagator ads of years past.

|...thanks to this year's commercials. What a hoot. His ads last year left alot to be desired -- not to mention his columns that must have turned ole Strunk and White in their graves.
Interested to see what he has in store for us at "Le Tour "

|Hey, I was taping those commercials, planning to watch them in a few years, and you had to spoil it with details about the "old man pointing to the exact spot". Shame on you!|

|I like the Roll commercials all right. However, the commercial with the guy sitting on the crapper with his pants around his ankles reading the hunting and camping catalog while his son continues to pound on the bathroom door begging his dad to come out annoys me to no end. I've been known to get lost in cycling magazines or cycling catalogs, but does anyone find a guy taking a crap and reading a catalog rather than spending time with his son to be funny or witty in any way?|

|(not that I do either, but) it isn't like he doesn't have a choice whether he craps or not... like the brain cells processed "hey, I'd rather be here crapping than being with my kid." When you gotta go, you gotta go.
Of course I've never seen that commercial, but sometimes being in the crapper is the only peace and quiet a guy can have.

|Not to belabor the point, but the guy isn't just taking a crap; he's using the opportunity to spend what appears to be hours ignoring his kid's attempts to get him out of the bathroom to do something with him. I can't imagine sitting in my bathroom with a Colorado Cyclist catalog and not even talking to my kids if they come knocking on the door looking for me. Maybe I'm overreacting but I just have a hard time with people who neglect their kids.|

|Someone reading a catalog like that probably doesn't know who their children are!!! JK :-)
The next time you see the commercial just imagine the kid just needs to use the bathroom too. It will be kinda funny then.

|I have been really amused at his commercials. I don't know who's coming up with them, but they make that 1m30s of missing the race action funny. Furthermore, I have to take my hat off to all three broadcaster cause they have really done a good job explaining things simply for people to understand, while still hitting some more complicated aspects of the race. I feel like I am actually starting to understand what the heck is going on. Last year, I just watched and thought, "Oh cool sprint, boy that guys fast!" Now, I understand the importance of the lead out train, and the how it helps a guy go so fast, and this understanding extends to the mountains as well. That understanding I have to attribute in some part to those three guys.|
