Look 206 - spontaneous releasealmccm

These pedals and cleats came with the bike. The pedals were in great shape and the cleats looked OK. Most of the time they are fine but occasionally my foot will come out while pedaling. It has happened under all different conditions, hills, turns, flat straightaway, etc. It's odd because these aren't the easiest pedals to clip out of when I want to clip out and yet while riding along I will suddenly find one foot free.

Has anyone else had this problem with Look 206 pedals? I'm hoping it's a pedal/cleat problem and not something I'm causing. I will be changing to Shimano Ultegra SPD-SL pedal as soon as they're delivered so if it is a pedal/cleat problem I will have it solved soon.

There are wear indicators (little holes) on the corners of the cleats. If those are gone; time for new cleats.

Guess I should read directions more often.
