Had a real cycling weekend, as I witnessed the New Haven Crit on Friday night, the Waterbury Circuit Race on Saturday, then the Housatonic Valley Classic on Sunday! I also got on the bike for 31 miles Saturday evening. =) Many, many, pics to come. Here are a few...

Overall winner - GC = David Klinger of Prime Alliance. Here he is, being interviewed by John Eustice. At the end of the Waterbury Circuit Race I was fortunate enough to exchange a few words, shake his hand, and get his autograph. I also discovered he had knee surgery this past Novemeber and sustained a bad crash in February. I think he's got my vote for my favorite, primarily domestic, pro racer! I also got autographs from two Saturn greats, Chris Horner and Ivan Dominguez (who, I think, won the PCT NYC Crit I was at last September).

P.S. "Fausto", nice meeting you!

I was discharged from physical therapy on the 5th of this month (after 6 weeks of 2-3 per week), starting 2 weeks post surgery. I went back to see my orthopedic surgeon later that day and he said my knee looks good, AND has tightened up a bit (which I was very pleased to hear). I don't go back to the doc for another 4 months, but still can't do any "side-to-side" knee movement sports (i.e. tennis, racquetball, soccer, basketball, football, skiing) for 4 more months = total of 6 post-op. It still doesn't feel 100%, but it is coming along...and biking has only been helping it.

Thanks for asking...
