Did anyone else catch the screw-up on OLN when they were in the studio trying to show the maps of the final climb? I swear I heard a Bloody hell muttered before they cut to commercial.

Given that the Saturday show is not live (i.e., the race was over several hours before the broadcast), I can't understand why the thing was not edited. In any event, I kind of enjoyed it -- I frequently am admonished by my wife and others for using the same language when things go wrong. Whatever the problem was, it must have been something significant -- Paul's utterance was followed by about 5 to 6 minutes of back-to-back commercials.
How to avoid this in the futureSpoiler

seemed like there were a whole lot more commericals in todays broadcast the 1st hour seemed like 45 minutes commericals 15 minutes race coverage, But hey lucky to have any coverage at all count my blessings for OLN hope I can afford to keep cable now I'm unemployeed. OLN before food or gas for car guess my priorities are pretty messed up lol.

had no idea what was really going on in the race when the climb first started, who was going up the road, who was falling off, etc.
And Bob's ramblings about dogs and wolves?!.Bruno S

Bob started rambling about the wolves of rome on the left side of the road and and the dogs of ??? on the right side of the road. When he finished Phil just went: Right......(long pause), then continued speaking. Any idea of what was Bob talking about?
It was the Kilkenny cats and the wolves of the Apennines.Sintesi

Bob showing off his sporadic erudition. This is actually a mild version of Bob Roll. You should have heard him last year at the Tour "Day" France reciting homespun poetry. My big problem with Roll is the constant gesticulating and the little finger tents. He looks like Dana Carvey doing his Bush Sr. impression. Someone needs to talk to that boy.

I was waiting for someone else to notice the finger tents and other hand gestures, that's just pure Roll I love it. Phil abd Paul are very dry almost stuffed shirt dry, they are good with their commentary but Roll brings to the average guy level more in tune with entertainment. More finger tents!!!Yeah Baby!
when Bobke went to trek my wife said he was the talk of the ....stik__boy

place. very funny. went for a ride w/all the usuals... and dropped 'em one by one!!!! seriously. theres a fairly large sized and dedicated group that rides every day. he goes, and kills them. it was said that he seemed pretty serious about it. (unlike his "climbing machine" commercial that i thought was hilarious!!) so they go for a ride w/him... and all i got was an autographed "bobke" t-shirt.
