I have never had a problem with my Look pedals. There could be different variables that make your "groan". How heavy are you? Check the pedal surfaces to make sure they are free of grime - same for the cleats. Make sure the cleats are not well worn and replace if it is. You'll know just by looking at them. Spray the pedal and cleat with silicon. This will provide a nice slick surface and the cleats won't bind with the pedal. The other thing to look at is the spindal. Maybe they need grease. There is a special tool required to take them apart without damaging the nut. That is about it as far as I can see.

1) Total Cycling- Totally reliable. Great service, fast shipping, they use DHL which has delivered it from Ireland to St. Louis in 3 days!!! Easy return policy too.

2) Look pedals- I weigh 215 lbs and my P396's only squeek when I have dirt or grime on the cleat. Other than that they hae been silent for 4500+ miles.

... No bad experiences with Total Cycling after several purchases, mucho monies spent, and mucho monies saved...

They have two shipping options (for most goods) for the US and Canada. Parcel Force (Royal Mail) takes a tad longer (about a day or two on average) but is cheaper (I just had my first Parcel Force delivery... it only took a day for it to be handed over to USPS at JFK and delivered (at JFK at 09:00 DST and in my hands at 17:00 DST... eastern US). The only caveat is their return policy (check their site for info on shipping of frames and such as well as returns). Fortunately, I've never had to return a purchase.

I've been fairly "lucky" with my LOOKs... few groans. Keep 'em relatively clean and lubed. Lickton's sells the special tool for servicing LOOK pedal innards.

Be the bike.
