|seeming that we endlessly need to adhere to plebian arguments that go nowhere i thought it perhaps time to succumb and join rank and file with inane old arguments .....
so, some of you may not know that shimano was a maker of parts for bicycles well before campagnolo ...... FACT.
Shozaburo Shimano establishes Shimano Iron Works and begins production of the original Shimano freewheel.
whilst back at the italian ranch with signor Tullio.....
As he struggled to free his wheel, he muttered five words to himself that changed the history of cycling:
"Bisogno cambiá qualcossa de drio!"
Those words ("Something must change in the rear!") and that simple event -- a wheel that couldn't be removed -- started Tullio thinking. He went back to his workshop, and emerged with the invention of the quick-release lever (in 1930) and, soon after, an early bicycle derailleur (1933).
......... so there !!!!!
far be it from me that i would enter the turgid waters of choosing one over the other, for as bicycle components like chicks are all to be admired and enjoyed (oops ... here i go again) so ill leave it with the experts 'coz you lame opinionated amateurs aren't to be trusted either.
ya wanna know sumtin' or settle an argument? ask the right people.....
