...what I'm waiting for this year is the Arroyofest ride on the Pasadena Fwy next month. Imagine how cool it would be if there could be regular (weekly or monthly) closures of "interesting" highways or streets here to cars, for the use of cyclists. (Imagine being able to ride Sunset Blvd from, say, Doheny out to PCH without dodging traffic....)

sounds cool!

you're right - it would be great to take over major roads & highways. Critical Mass without the cranky drivers...

There's a link on the bike coalition's home page. I see they're charging a fee ($10)for cyclists, but not for walkers. Sounds discriminatory to me.
