I'm going to do the Cross Timbers Classic in Flower Mound,TX instead. It will be my first century on a single speed. My previous longest SS ride was 75 miles.

It will be my first time. Everything I've heard about it has been good. Now, let's hope for winds out of the East if not we will be in for a looooooooooooooooooooong day.

If the winds are out of the west try and find a group to stick with, luckily I'll be riding with my club...

So the ride from Houston wasn't too bad, until we made the last turn on the top of the hill.

Hopefully it will stay out of the east/SE for us Houston folks.

Check out www.kxan.com weather for a great hour-by-hour wind forecast for the weekend. Go to the "weather technology center" and look for "central texas winds". Looks like the winds will switch around from the north - good news for us riding from Austin; looks like San Antonio riders will get a good cross wind, and Houston riders will have the worst going.
