| Campy wheels with Shimano Components???? | andydave May 14, 2003 2:38 PM | | Excuse my ignorance, but i thought campy wheelsets weren't compatible with shimano components (cassettes)? Adds for campy wheels say things like Campy 9/10 speed compatible. But I saw a bike posted here with campy Nuetrons with Dura Ace. Can anyone explain? |
| I believe Campy now makes shimano compatible wheels | elviento May 14, 2003 2:50 PM | | Another possibility is that Campy 9 speed wheels with a campy 9 speed cassette can roughly work with Shimano 9sp drivetrain, even though not technically considered compatible.
The third explaination is that it's simply a mismatch and has horrible shifting. |
| Yes, you are correct Sir!(nm) | merckx56 May 14, 2003 3:35 PM | | |
| They should start making 9 speed replacement sti shifters!nm | the bull May 14, 2003 3:40 PM | | |
| re: Campy wheels with Shimano Components???? | FORT-Cyclist May 14, 2003 3:09 PM | | all the actual campy wheelsets are optional available with a shimano compatible rotor.
(if i say all actual wheelsets i mean scirocco, zonda, eurus, proton, neutron, dont know about the more exotic wheelsets like hyperons...)
