What do y'all know about the cycling scene in Knoxville? It's official, my lovely bride and I are moving at the end of the month to Knoxvegas from Boston. I havent been able to find much up to date stuff online about clubs, rides etc...

I did find some info on a sprint tri series in E TN that looks pretty interesting...

Js, I wanted to send you an email but couldn't find your email from before...

i'm in memphis, which is a whole really long state away from knoxville (about 400 miles). in fact, i've not been since i turned 18 (many moons ago), and that was just a quick drive through knoxville on the way from mempho to Duke Univ (NC).

you'll be close to the TN highpoint, Clingman's Dome, and within easy driving distance of some monster fun climbs in NC.

my e-mail addy is cat5tattoo at yahoo dot com.

I've never been on the bike in K'ville proper but East of there, by I-40, you will find some great riding. . . if you are into hills. JS's suggestion to look at the Smokey Mtn Wheelmen website is a good one. Tons of stuff between Knoxville and Ashville, and in and around the Smokey Mountains. I spend a lot of time South of there in the vacinity of Robbinsville, NC, Fontana, and Tellico Plains. Let me know if you are ever down in Chattanooga.
