Hey Peeps,
I'm moving to San Antonio this summer and just want to know what the Road and MTB scene is like there. Are there any good places to ride on and off road?
Thanks a bunch!

I think your going to like it.
My father in-law live there so I get there about once every year or so. He lives on the outskirts of SA in a town called Helotes. I don't know much about the area but take the main street thru Helotes going out of town and you can ride for days out there. They call this area of SA the hill country, and there are a lot of short steep hills in the area. I don't know anything about the clubs but I ran across a few teams while I was out so I think the racing scene should be pretty good.

I don't know anything about mountain biking

I don't know where your moving from but from where I ride it would be a great move (cycling wise)

have fun

I bought a Colnago in San Antonio a few years ago from Jim Britton's shop. He's the guy to go to for info. His website is http://brittonbikes.com/

There's plenty of road riding, reasonable amount of mtn. bike especially if you can travel to the Hill Country. Don't know where you're moving from but one of the great things here is year 'round riding!

Go here for mtn: http://www.storm-web.org/
Here for road: http://www.sawheelmen.com/

There are maps, rides, links, etc. on each site.
