|i need to buy new road shoes. the ones i have (specialized) are giving me some pain after riding 25 miles in a day. sometimes before. pain area is in the sole area. i was thinking of buying a pair with carbon. unfortunatly they are too expensive for me. i want to spend under the $80 range.
thank you to all in advance.

|You really need to go try on shoes at a shop to see what you like!
I think Nike fits me the best, everthing else feels wide.

|Have you considered 'Superfeet' insoles? They might just be the answer to your problem. They provide stiffness and cushioning (there was a thread here last week discussing this item....go forward to the 'Next 100 or 150' threads, and you will find a thread titled "Superfeet - which one to get?".) You can get them at REI, LBS and mail-order..and for about $20. More info @ http://www.superfeet.com/who/index.html|
