|New frame dilemma--help!||feathers mcgraw|

|I cracked my second Bianchi. This one was the warranty replacement for the first, and they both cracked in the same place. I promised myself that I'd upgrade when I rode this one into the ground, so I'm going to sell the warranty replacement (frame #3) and go for it.
The bike I've been lusting after for the last five years is the Seven Odonata. I can afford it, but I'm not exactly filthy rich either. I could also get, for example, a custom Foco bike with or without carbon stays for half the price, maybe from Strong.
So my question is, how much better is the Seven? Is it $1500 better? Is it just a hot, trendy brand?

|From a value standpoint, the Strong is the clear choice. The only thing going for a Seven is the scratch resistant Ti finish. Everything else is equal in my opinion.

|I have talked to Strong and have corresponded with people who have had Strong build their bikes. All have nothing but good things to say. With Ti I think Seven will do a slightly better job cosmetically at least. I've been struggling with buying a Strong Foco, IF Crown Jewel, or a Seven Alaris (straight gage Ti). Had a chance to ride a Crown Jewel, I also rode a Litespeeed Tuscany after the CJ and liked the LS better, but geometry isn't right for me though so I started looking at the Alaris. I also think if you have been lusting for the Ododnata for 5yrs and you can swing it you should get it. Bottom line you are in a no loose situation.|

|actaully go with the axiom ti. The odonata is a sweet frame. Teh axiom is going to offer everything that you could desire. Seven is the only company that can custom tune the ride of their frames. If you have any questions they(seven) would be more than happy to speak with you. They have by far the best customer service. Just give them a call. We are a seven dealer. I have ridden everything that we sell(trek, cannondale, specialized, lemond, klein) and they all ride nice, but even the stock non-custom seven on the floor rode that much better. If you have the ability to test ride, do it. Is it worth the money? Oh yeah.|| |
