|- from others? I have the Prosline Championissimo bib short and find them a little more comfortable than others on long rides. I guess I'm trying to justify spending the $220 they cost.|

|Well, here's my take on it. Yes, they are very nice great quality the technolgy they employ is very leading edge but, they still don't eliminate any discomfort or felt pain so to speak. What I mean is they are no better than any of the other brands PI, Castelli, voler, performance,. For the money it would be better to go buy several pair of the PI, voler or performance (just to name a few)than the Assos. I purchased the F1.13's because our club gets 15% at the LBS which brought mine down to 170.00 still unreal. A friend just tried the new PI 3D chamois bibs and said they actually pinched his skin, those are selling for 139.00 Shorts are out of control.
Anyway,IMO $220.00 buys alot of socks, jerseys, tubes etc.

|I guess the real key is to find a comfortable saddle. I did, in the Fizik Aliante. I still have a pair of the old early 90's PI shorts that have the smooth leather-like chamois. To me they are much more comfortable than most of the newer shorts with the cloth-like chamois. The newer ones seem to pinch and chafe me like you said your friends did. You can't even use chamois cream with most of the newer shorts because they just soak it up. Thanks|

|personally I'd rather have 4 pairs of Performance Elite bibs for the same $, but the Assos ARE great. Just a bit overpriced if you ask me.|| |
