I have finally diagnosed the worst creak any of my bikes has ever known. People would turn and look as I accelerated away from intersections. How could such a pretty celeste green bike make such chilling music, they thought. Quite a shameful experience really.
But I did locate the source. The noise is produced by the front dropout when I stand and pedal. The problem now is that I have no idea how to remedy this situation. Any takers?

Let me guess, you have a carbon fork... I had this problem with my Time Stilleto fork on my LeMond. Turns out the Rolf QR skewer was not stiff enough and the flex from standing and cranking was being transferred up into the fork, making it creak. Cheap fix - try a different skewer.
