... so what's up with both the forums over at Bicycling and Cycling Plus being down while RBR rolls happily down the road... with a tailwind?

Ya know? I was half expecting this forum to be down too. My imagination must not be quite as .....er... active as yours. But it does seem suspicious now that you mention it. j/k

Zippo, nothing. Either the machine is OFF (as in, they shut the machine literally off) or it's DEAD or something is afoot on the router/switch side.

It munged my message but what it comes down to:
they switched to Solaris 8 a bit ago and it may have
significantly broken their forum software - at least
this is up!

It goes down almost daily anymore.. With a magazine of that quality.. it's hard to expect them to be able to manage a website & forum
