|I have added some new things to my bike and was pretty excited about them and wanted to show them off. It all started in February when I took a nasty spill in a crit. I bent and broke several spokes in my Mavic K Elites, bent my bars, tore up my red SLR,cracked my carbon post, and a few other scrapes. The wheels never could stay true for more than a week after that, so I got a some new wheels. This time their SSC's. I bought a new bar, but then wanted the matching stem I ended up with Ritchey WCS bar and stem combo.
I wanted a post I could trust a little more, found a good deal in the RBR classifieds and ended up with a new Dura-Ace post to match my components. And the thing I love the most is my White SLR not willing to pay another $90.00 after just buying it. I decided to visit the local Zapateria (shoe repair shop) and asked if they could cover it for me in white leather No problem, come back in a couple of days. Wow, what a deal $20 dollars for a brand new again SLR.
These are the spec's:
54cm Caad 5 frame and fork
full Dura-Ace, including post
Ritchey WCS kit
Speedplay X-2 pedals
It's a hair under 17lbs.

|Let us know if it stays white-
I'm convinced white seats are like white bar tape- they don't stay that way (after having owned a yellow seat).
Even a tiny grease spot thoroughly worked into the saddle can do wonders to customize the color.

|besides, if it gets hurt again or a little worn I can get it recovered for 20 bones. I love white seats, it's very euro, I remember back in the days riding white regals and rolls, and trying to look pro. Nobody unerstood back in High School - it was all about Big Mig!|
|would a white seatpost be overkill?||Spoiler|

|... just kidding... kewl ride (I've got the aero tubed version of said with the same schweeet paint job) and while I don't expect it's pristene and mint look will last... at least you've got the photographic evidence.
Sidenote: interesting to note that in days gone by, shoe/leather repair shops were as common as convenience stores of today... I'd forgotten just how handy they can be with all manner of leathergoods... I just might have to try that myself!
Be the bike.
