Think I'm getting sick.. need to recover ASAP!Fender

Last Saturday I went out to a bar with friends. After a few drinks (stopped counting after 5) we left the bar in rather "happy" mode and after a 3am dinner/breakfast called it a night. Next day I wake up and have a terrible sore throat with cold sweats particularly in my face/head. The only way this would go away was if I was standing outside where it was really cold. This morning I wake up and still have an irritated throat and sweating. I even get cold chills every now and then. My body feels warm, face cold and I'm getting cold chills.

Is this just a sign of exhaustion since I've had over 10 days of staying up late and getting up early to work (40+hour week), stress from work, hard training rides and having friends visiting?

Any remedies on how to recover quickly since I have a race on Sunday?

Eat and drink alot. No, not booze, but stuff that will hydrate you. Eat a bunch of good food. No junk! Fruit, veggies, protein. Stay away from the bike until at least Thursday, and then only do a short, spin ride. If you have fitness, it isn't going to go away in three or four days. Get plenty of sleep. Take an Excedrin PM if you have to.
Get back on the bike Thursday or Friday. Saturday, do 90 minutes or so and one or two good efforts. It'll blow out the pipes and open the legs for Sunday. I felt really crappy last week and did the same thing I just recommended and come out flying on the weekend. Sometimes you need rest more than you need miles!

Would you recommend that I skip work early and just go home and relax? I've been at the office for a little over and hour and have already had nearly 40oz of water.

I'm all for being a lazy SOB, but unless you have a strenuous job, stay at work. I work out of my house so I have real trouble staying focused anyway! Maybe cut out an hour early or so, but I wouldn't bag the whole day unless you really feel like crap! You've got time to recover.
Eat more fiber too! It'll help clean the pipes!
BTW- Drinking bad! (Say that in your best Frankenstein voice!)

and go for a miracle healing. Big dose of mexican food works, too, after a night of drinking. Next try AA. Then go to the doctor. Skip the race, and get some rest. Good luck !!! ;-)

After yesterdays replies (thanks merckx) I headed to a salad bar for lunch. Stuffed on the veggies and protein food. Around 2ish I started feeling worse so I left the office and headed back home. Slept for 4 hours straight. Once I woke up I just chilled around my apartment. Girlfriend came over and made me dinner, then it was straight to bed! Couple more days before I fully recover, but already feeling better!
