|This fresh off the Tour de Romandie website: Tyler just won the final TT stage to beat Dufaux and Perez on GC by over half a minute!
If you ask me, Tyler should have raced the Giro this year - he's on form, and he has a better chance of beating guys he can out-time-trial like Simoni than Lance.
At any rate, with this victory hot on the heels of L-B-L, all signs point towards a second American on the podium in Paris.
Too bad Levi's not having a better year...
PS - what's the netiquette on "spoilers" here? Is the decisive criterium whether or not the race will be broadcast?

|The etiquette has been much discussed here lately. You might catch some flames for the "Tyler does it again!" line in your topic line...even though it isn't televised, etc. Somebody will probably take offense to it...
Mr. Hamilton seems strong indeed. Very early to be winning a lot though. Hope he holds on.

|Methinks Lance may have some real competition this time around if 1)Tyler gets the right team support and 2)he can stay crash and injury free. It would be great to see two Yanks on the podium. And wouldn't Lance have his shorts in a knot if the top position went to his former domestique?:)-
I don't think that will happen, but it's a great fantasy, isn't it?

|We should at last see some killer mountain stages--LA vs. Tyler vs. Botero (plus the support for Botero in Telekom). I can't wait!|

|I take no issue with spoilers, since I don't personally spend days at a time avoiding cycling websites and spending group rides with my fingers in my ears whilst humming so as not to overhear chit chat concerning races. But FYI, according to the website, OLN does plan to air Tour of Romandie coverage on Thursday, May 15 at 8 p.m. ET, a week after OLN's L-B-L coverage -- can't wait to watch both.|

|Hmm, didn't recall seeing the race on the OLN cycling schedule, and that particular page was down today so I couldn't double-check (go figure).
Quite frankly, I find this whole spoiler thing incredibly retarded.
Is the kind of person who obsessively digs around on cycling chat sites really going to manage to keep themselves in the dark for the minor eternity it takes OLN to air something?
Whatever makes 'em happy...

|It would be awesome to see Tyler and LAnce working together on different teams. Tyler has stated many times he can't beat Lance but I am sure he could make the podium. Lance beats Tou contenders by over 7 minutes every year. I think your right though about the Giro, he would have done well. Simoni is a good climber but Tyler would beat him in the TTs. As a matter of fact, the Vuelta suits Tyler really well with 2-3 real Mtn stages but not to tough and 3 TTs in it|

May 4, 2003 3:09 PM
|I think we came to a concensus last week. People with an IQ in the triple digits are able to create a topic line that lets people know the post is about a race without mentioning
1. the winners name
2. the winning team
3. the winner's mother's maiden name
4. who DIDN'T win
5. which team didn't win
6. who came in second
7. which team came in second
8. the winning team's bike brand
9. the second place team's director sportif
10. I think you get the idea.
Example 1 of a triple-digit IQ post
Topic: Tour of Romandie (spoiler inside)
Example 1 of a double-digit IQ post
Topic: Chubby German Redhead wins XXX Race (spoiler inside)
Now it's up to each and every one of you to decide which group you belong to and post accordingly.
Now be honest with yourselves. If you truly don't have the mental capacity to create an topic line without explicitly or implicitly revealing the results, don't try to fake it.
Just assume anything you type will result in a spoiler. Have a cookie instead of posting. Chances are after the cookie you'll forget what you were going to post and everybody will be safe.
